The history of the XLV Romuald Traugutt High School’s sign began on January 22nd, 1963, one day before the one hundredth anniversary of the January Uprising.

The head teacher, Mrs. Janina Starzycka-Głowacka, “orders to carry the sign by the students’. From that moment, the sign began to be a compulsory element of students’ uniforms as “a triangle and metal school’s sign worn on students’ berets”.

From 2014 the school has had the tradition of awarding honored people dedicated to XLV Romuald Traugutt High School.
